Yesterday, the J.E. Lapointe track and field team competed at the annual LDAA track and field meet in Leduc.  Our students did extremely well during the day-long event. We would especially like to thank all of these young athletes for your positive behaviour and representation of our school.  Super!  We are thrilled to be sending 21 athletes to the zone 5 meet in St. Albert on June 1st.  

Talent show auditions continue today. There has been a slight change, so please listen carefully.
Singers that missed yesterday’s auditions are asked to come to Room 115 today at the 12:14 bell. Bring your lunch and be ready to sing right away.
Instrumentalists are asked to be in the band room today by 12:35 and be ready to play.

**The first round of eliminations has been posted on the athletics board.
If you have qualified for any of the throwing events and would like to practice today block 4 or 5 during FLEX please see Mrs. Dorash before block 3 to have your name added to the session. All athletes are encouraged to check the list carefully.

Qualifying for triple jump will start at 12:14 at the pits, 1500m on the field.  Once again, if you have missed these events in class you MUST come at lunch to qualify! If you miss tryouts you will be ineligible to compete.  

Any students that would like to practice Triple Jump block 5 during FLEX prior to tryouts at lunch please see Mrs. Dorash as well.

We would like thank Mrs Dorash and Ms Gervais for the tremendous work they put into planning our Open House to welcome our incoming grade 7 students for the next school year.  Thank you also to all of our teachers for  putting much effort into hosting activities throughout the school and for staying so late last evening.  As well, we very much appreciated the efforts of many of our students who assisted throughout the evening and helped our new students and their parents feel welcome in our school. A huge congratulations goes out to our badminton team!  On Saturday they captured the Junior, Intermediate and Senior championship banners for a 9th straight season.  Great job and thank you for all the hard work and dedication you put into the season.
