To celebrate Freedom to Read Week come down to the library and take a selfie mug shot with any banned or challenged book. Check out the bulletin board to see why a person wanted to remove certain popular books from a public or school library. Can you imagine a library without Harry Potter?!

How many decimals of pi do you know?  Last year’s challenge champion knew over 250 decimal places!  March 14 is Pi Day so brush up on your knowledge of pi and maybe you can be this year’s champ!

There will be a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale tomorrow hosted by the Grade 8 & Grade 9 Band. All items will be $1.00 and sold over the lunch hour in the front foyer. Band members are reminded to bring their bake sale goodies tomorrow morning!

Parent Council has arranged for a fun  and exciting evening for all the students of JE Lapointe School.  Come on out February 8 from 7pm to 9:30pm for A Much Music Dance Party!  Much Music provides a large screen for music videos, DJ lighting, fog machines, a live DJ and the chance for everyone to request the music they want to hear.  We also have door prizes to be won!  This is for you!  The students!  Come out and enjoy something new!  Tickets are on sale at lunch  $10 that week or $13 at the door!
