Speech Arts students: Ms Colquhoun will be in the library conference room during today’s lunch break (12:05 - 12:50). Please bring your lunch. Coaches: you are also invited. A reminder that performances for Speech Arts will take place April 13th and 14th.

Tomorrow is the last day to hand in February practice sheets. If you have not got yours signed and handed in yet, you have not been paying attention to the announcements, so please do so by this tomorrow.

Congratulations to all 11 Premier Boys on beating all 6 teachers in basketball yesterday.  No excuses, but the staff were missing Magic Mistol at the point guard position, Mr. Helgren was nursing a nasty skinned knee, Mrs. Dorash didn’t eat a well balanced breakfast, and our secret weapon, Mrs. Buzak, was busy remembering more digits of pi.

There will be a rematch after spring break so practice up boys!

The Premier Boys basketball team will be trying their hardest to beat the teachers in a basketball game today at lunch.  Students are allowed to watch during their recess time.  So, elementary students may watch from 12:05 - 12:25 and junior high students can watch from 12:25-12:45.  Good luck boys - you’re gonna need it!

Nutrition Bingo - this is our last week, you are trying for a full card.  Completed cards must be handed in by Thursday to be entered in the draw for great prizes.

Speech Arts students: your scheduled day and times were given to your home room teachers on Friday. Please make sure you inform your parents as they are responsible to get you to and from your performance.

Teachers - please make a note that the Speech Arts portion of the Leduc Music Festival will be occurring on Monday and Tuesday, April 13th and 14th at various times.
Speech Arts students, your parents still have to inform the office if you are to be absent.

The final try-outs for JR boys and JR girls badminton are today after school until 4:30pm.

Can all Intermediate boys and girls badminton players meet in the gym during the morning break for a brief meeting.

STEM Club is firing up again so that we can build cool stuff, create some cool gadgets, and chemically react things!  We will meet Tuesday after school to create a plan of action.  If interested, come to room 109 at 3:10.  See Mr. Slade for details.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to make our 3rd Annual Pi Day Pie Throw a great success. Not only did teachers get pied in the face by students but also $280 was raised for the Leduc Food Bank.

Pi Day

Congrats to all of the basketball teams for a great showing last night.  District boys won a banner and premier boys a silver!!  You made us proud!! Reminder to the kids to hand your jerseys right away.

Today is Pi Day!  It is like Christmas for nerds like Mr.Slade and Mr. Bohun!  Did you know that 3.14% of Sailors are Pi Rates?

Teachers, please submit the winner of the pi memorization contest to Mr. Slade along with the number of decimal places.

Also, Pi throwing is happening today at lunch.  Students are welcome to bring their lunches to the gym.  Pi throwers must line up behind the assigned line.  When throwing students must throw behind the line.  Any of those who cross will be responsible for cleaning the gym afterwards!
Mrs. Dorash has been talking about students won’t have good enough aim for you guys to hit her.

Big crunch day tomorrow!!
Badminton try-outs for all JUNIOR boys is today after school.  If you can not attend you must let Mr. Mistol know.
There is no ice for the 8CD and 8BF PE classes today.

Premier boys - your gold medal game schedule has changed and you will be playing at 7:00PM tomorrow night at Dansereau.  Premier girls will be playing at 5:30 at Dansereau.
Congratulations to our Junior High Relay teams who competed in the Journal Games at the Butterdome last night.  Our teams finished first and second in their heats.  One team has qualified for the Semi-Finals Saturday.   Relay team members, please let Mme McCallion know if you we be able to attend the Saturday meet.
