  • All BHA students that have not handed in their forms, need to do so today before going onto the ice.
  • Premier Boys volleyball team has a practice after school today.
  • Mrs. Verhoeff’s Media 7 class is reminded to check in with their homeroom teachers after lunch, then come directly to room 112, please!
  • The Home Ec room will be open until 4:15 Monday, Wednesday and Friday for any student that would like to come in and work on projects.
  • Any junior high students who are not on a volleyball team and would like to play volleyball this season, please see Mrs. Duru in room 118 at 12:10.
  • District Boys Volleyball team has a practice today at 12:10. Bring your lunch and your forms.
  • Running practice today after school.  If you are interested in running in another X-Country Race this Saturday, please get a permission form from Mme McCallion before the end of the day.
  • É.J.E.L.S. is a scent sensitive school. Please refrain from wearing any strong scents.

  • A reminder that all BHA kids need to hand in their forms to Mr. Mistol today!
  • The premier boys’ volleyball team has a meeting in Mrs. Duru’s room (118) at 12:10.
  • Congratulations to all of our Track members who participated in the LDAA Cross Country Championships yesterday in Leduc.  They definitely made our school proud because of their performance, attitude and sportsmanship!  Every student ran an incredible race.  Results will be announced at the next school assembly.
  • All students who are interested in participating in another Cross Country Race on Saturday, October 5th in Leduc, please see Mme McCallion.
  • You may notice staff members dressing more casually than usual today, or wearing their Sabre and School clothing.  This is because we “Dress down to build others up” on Fridays and make financial donations to people who might be in need.  This is one way that our staff gives back to the larger community!
  • Would all members of the Run for the Cure team please see Mr. Slade at 12:35.

  • Today - Flute, Clarinet and saxophone
    Tomorrow - Brass, Guitars & Percussion
    If you are new to your instrument or if you just want to get some practice time in, you are encouraged to come to these lunch time practices. Bring your lunch and your instrument to the music room at the 12:10 bell.

    Starting next week, instrument practice for anyone interested will be every Monday & Friday.
  • Choir and Jazz Band practices will be starting next week. Choir will be on Tuesday and Thursday. Jazz Band will be on Wednesday.
  • District Boys Volleyball you have a meeting @ 12:30 in Mr. Bohun’s room today.
  • Premier Boys’ Volleyball meeting @ 12:10 today! Please don’t forget. Also there will be a practice tomorrow after school
  • Good luck to all of the runners who will be participating in LDAA X country Championships this morning in Leduc.   Runners will need to meet in the front foyer at 9:00 am.  You will be called down.  Please bring your running attire and shoes, a water bottle and your lunch.  There will be no running practice tonight.

  • Running practice today after school.  Students who are signed up to run in the X-Country Race tomorrow, please remember to dress appropriately with running attire and running shoes.  Please bring your lunches.  We will be leaving tomorrow morning at 9:00 am.
  • District Boys Volleyball practice today at 3:15pm. If you haven’t done so yet please see the final team list posted on the athletic board. If you can’t make it to practice today make sure you let Mr. Bohun know.

  • Any students interested in participating in the Run for the Cure and have not received a registration form please see Mr. Slade TODAY as the deadline is tomorrow.  Mr. Slade will be checking all names registered as of tomorrow morning to order t-shirts so make sure to get it done!
  • Picture Day is Monday, Sept. 23, students/staff are asked “not” to wear the color green.
  • PD day tomorrow, no school.
  • Terry Fox walk/run is today, students will watch a 10 minute video at 11:00 and then be dismissed by class to start the run at 11:10.
  • District Boys Volleyball - Please check the bulletin board outside the gym to see if your name is on the list for today’s practice.
  • District Girls Volleyball try outs continue today at 12:10 (or as soon as you finish the Terry Fox Run) for ALL grade 7 and invited grade 6 girls.
  • All runners who will be participating in next week’s race must hand in their permission forms to Mme McCallion today.  No late entries will be accepted. Running Club practice today after school.

  • Any students interested in participating in the Run for the Cure this year MUST attend a short meeting at 12:30 in Mr. Slade’s room.  This is a very important meeting as the deadline for registration is Friday!
  • Instrument help sessions start this week over the lunch hour for any students that are new to their instruments. TODAY are Flutes, Clarinets and Saxophones, tomorrow are Brass and Guitars. Bring your lunch, instrument and book to the music room at 12:10 if you would like help.
  • Choir and jazz band sign up sheets are up in Mrs. Baron’s room. If you are interested in joining either of these groups, please sign up by the end of the week, which is tomorrow.
  • Volleyball tryout today at 12:10 for grade 6 girls and boys. Please bring your lunch.
  • District Boys Volleyball - after lunch the 20 students who are invited to Thursday tryouts will be posted on the bulletin board outside the gym.
  • Running Club Participants, we will be running today after school.  Please meet in the front foyer ready to run after school.  Correction notice:  Running Club practices are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays NOT Tuesdays.

  • Instrument help sessions start this week over the lunch hour for any students that are new to their instruments. There is a change from yesterday’s announcements due to Mrs. Baron being away with her Outdoor Ed class. Flutes, Clarinets and Saxophones are all on Wednesday, Brass and Guitars on Thursday. If you are interested in coming to your instrument session, bring your lunch, instrument and book to the music room at 12:10 on your day.
  • Choir and jazz band sign up sheets are up in Mrs. Baron’s room. If you are interested in joining either of these groups, please sign up by the end of the week.
  • Outdoor Ed students are reminded of their canoe & kayak trip today. Please meet at the front doors of the school at the end of period 1 with your lunch.
  • Reminder to all grade 6 and 7 girls there will be a volleyball tryout at 12:10 today.
  • There will be a premier boys’ volleyball tryout immediately after school today for all of the boys who are on the call back list.  Please check the athletic board for the list. District Boys Volleyball is still going on so all grade 7 boys should be there today. Please let Mr. Bohun know if you can’t make it.  
  • All grades 4-8 students who have signed up, but have not received a permission form for the X-Country Meet next week, must come and see Mme McCallion immediately.  Our next practice is tomorrow after school.
