A reminder to all badminton team players that there will be drop-in practices during spring break.  The times are 11am-12:30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.  Please attend if you can.

Elementary students will come AFTER recess – at 12:35. Junior High students may come at 12:10. A money donation box is available for those who wish to offer support without purchasing a toy.
Reminder to all junior high basketball players to hand in your uniforms asap!
Friday is beach day!!  Please wear your coolest, school appropriate beach attire! Reminder to the junior high students that during the dance there will be a photo station – pictures are a dollar each, proceeds going to the Whistler Band.

Boys badminton practice is after school today.  3:15-5:00pm. 
All badminton players must hand in their forms to Mr. Mistol by  tomorrow.
 
6F student council is organizing a Gently Used Toy Sale to benefit the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. The sale will occur in the front foyer of the school this Thursday and Friday. Items will be selling for between $1.00 and $3.00.  A money donation box will be available on those days for those who wish to offer support without purchasing a toy.
Reminder to all District basketball players to hand in your jerseys immediately so we can have our team parties!

Girls badminton practice today @ noon.
 
Boys badminton team needs to meet in the gym at noon for a brief meeting.
6F student council is organizing a Gently Used Toy Sale to benefit the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. The sale will occur in the front foyer of the school on Thursday and Friday (March 22nd and 23rd) of this week. There will be a money donation box also available on those days for those who wish to offer support without purchasing a toy. Teachers, if you could mark this on your white boards, it would be appreciated.

Elementary students who participated in the Journal Games, please bring the t-shirts that were borrowed back to Mme McCallion.
Elementary students who did not receive a permission form for Klondike Relays, please go and see Mme McCallion in room 113.

Any Term 2 Soapstone students who are not finished their projects must come to room 111 at 12:30.
Congratulations to our elementary boys’ Journal Games Relay teams who competed in the Quarter-Finals at the Butterdome on Saturday.  Both teams ran a good race.  One of our teams continued on to the Semi-Finals where they placed 19th overall out of 260 schools while our other team placed 25th overall. Well done boys!  If any runner (girl or boy) still has a Sabres t-shirt, please bring it back to Mme McCallion as soon as possible.
If you have signed up or would like to sign up for Klondike Relays, please meet in the gym at 12:10 for our first practice.  This is open to all grade 4, 5, and 6 students.
A huge congratulations goes out to the Elementary boys floor hockey team on winning the Corinthia Cup over the weekend.  The boys beat Notre Dame 2-1 in a thrilling gold medal game.
 
Can all the boys please meet in the gym at noon to sign the banner and to return jersey’s.
 
Can the premier girls basketball team also come to the gym at noon to sign your basketball championship banner.
 
Come out and cheer on the Premier Boys Basketball Team as they compete for the gold medal today at 4:00 at Coloniale!  Would all of the boys please, please, please see Mr. Slade for quick meeting at 1230.

Wear green tomorrow to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Leadership students will be coming around to the junior high homerooms tomorrow morning to pass out the 4-leaf clovers and explain the game! J

There are still a few chocolate milk left from Milk Monday. Please see Mrs. Baron if you would like to buy one. They are being sold $1.00 for a small and $2.00 for a large.
Reminder to all Jasper Ski Trip participants that you are to be in the parking lot at 4:15am Friday morning. The bus leaves at 4:30 am sharp, so set your alarms.
District Girls basketball will be meeting at the front entrance at 2:45 to leave for Pigeon Lake.  Good luck to Premier Girls, District Boys and District Girls who will be competing in finals tonight.

The band members going to Whistler have a very important combined practice today. All members are expected to attend, so please make a note of it, write it on your classroom whiteboard and don’t forget. You will play first, then eat, so bring  your lunch when you come at 12:10

Congratulations to the District girls team. They played a great game and will play for the bronze on Thursday.
Tomorrow at lunch will we be having a Pie Throw to celebrate Pi Day. Today is the last day to buy pies for the Pie Throw. Each throw costs one dollar and you will be able to throw a pie a teacher. Mr. Slade has already been telling everyone that no one will hit him. Prove him wrong and bring your money to your homeroom teacher today.

Congratulations goes out to the Premier Boys Basketball Team after winning the Father Michael Troy Basketball Tournament this weekend.  The boys finished with a 4-0 record and received compliments from competing coaches and players.
Would the team please meet in Mr. Slade’s room at 12:30 for a very brief meeting.
The Home Ec. Room will not be available today during lunch or afterschool.
Grade 4-5-6 boys floor hockey try-outs are today at noon.  Please hand in your availability forms to Mr. Mistol this morning.

Mrs. Slade’s Gr. 8 Girls Phys Ed. will be at the rink for the next two weeks. You do not need your skates today. Please be sure you have a change of shoes and your mitts/gloves for today and meet Mrs. Slade in the gym p.4.
Congratulations to the Brier Choir on their performances on Friday at the Tim Horton’s Brier! You did a great job representing our school and the town of Beaumont!
It’s Milk Monday. Teachers, please send a runner to pick up your milk and return the yellow bin to the pickup area. Students are asked to put their rinsed out milk cartons in the classroom green bin. This has been announced for weeks, but milk cartons still end up coming back to the music room. So again, please put the rinsed out cartons in the classroom green bin and bring the yellow bins to the pickup.
There will be extra white and chocolate milk for sale by the home ec. Room over the lunch hour. They are $1.50 for a small or $2.50 for a large

Band and choir members are reminded of the following music room practices this week;
Today – Whistler Band practice – Any band members going to Whistler are to come to the music room for practice at 12:10 today.  You will be playing first, and then eating your lunch. Please write this on your classroom whiteboard so you remember to come to this very important combined practice
Tomorrow – Jazz Band practice
The Brier Choir is asked to meet in the music room at the first recess today for a final run-through of Oh Canada. If you forget to come to this practice, you may not be able to perform tomorrow, so please make a note of it and be there.
 
The Brier Choir members are also reminded to be at the school by 6:30 am tomorrow morning. Best of luck as you sing the national anthem at the Tim Horton’s Brier! If you have any questions about the performance tomorrow, please see Mrs. Baron before you leave school today.

Great job District Girls – they defeated Coloniale in their first playoff game and will continue on to Semi finals next week!!  Also, thanks to our scorekeepers and Mr Slade for reffing.
