We are looking for 4 grade 6-8 student scorekeepers for tonight’s games.  If interested, please see Mr. Mistol.

There is NO BHA tomorrow.  All academy students will remain with their homeroom class for the afternoon.
October theory and practice are due this week. Please get yours finished, signed by your parent and handed in by tomorrow, Wed. Oct. 31st

Any junior high band members that have a Whistler trip payment for Mrs. Baron are reminded to hand it in.
Noon hour practices are as follows this week;

Today – Grade 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Choir. All members come to the music room at 12:10.  Jr. High will eat lunch after practice.
 
Friday – Jazz Band

Grade 5 Immunization consent forms are due today – teachers please send to the office.
There will be a serving practice for all junior high volleyball players today at 12:30.
The premier boys have two league games at the school today.  Come cheer them on!
The premier girls play at Queen Elizabeth School in Wetaskiwin today. If the premier girls could meet quickly in Miss. Hayletts room at lunch recess that would be great.
The District Boys have league games at Leduc Junior High today. District Boys please see Mr. Bohun in Room 101 for a quick meeting at morning break.
2012 Halloween Food Drive boxes have been dropped off in the front foyer. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the box. On Halloween, boxes will be picked up by the charity “Souls of the Feet” and food will be donated to a local Food Bank. Non-perishable foods include food that is boxed, canned or in jars. Please don’t bring any food that will spoil quickly such as foods that need to be refrigerated etc. Last day to bring n food is tomorrow!

Grade 7/8 Girls Circle – Please remember to bring in your consent forms  and drop off at the office.
Congratulations to the Premier Girls Volleyball team who won their 2nd tournament this past weekend. The girls played very well all day and ended up meeting Riverbend in the final, where they won in 2 sets. So congratulations again to the premier girls volleyball team!
District Boys Volleyball practice today at 12:10.

Due to the short week and Halloween activities on Wednesday, there is a big change to choir practice this week.

ALL choir members – grade 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 will practice tomorrow at 12:10. Please make a note of this in your agenda so you remember to come. Also,  Jr. High members will eat their lunch after practice.

There will not be noon hour practice on Wednesday.
Jazz Band will meet on their regular day, Friday for their practice.

You may have noticed our staff has dressed more casually today, on Fridays we will be “Dressing down to build others UP!” Donations will be made to a good cause.

Congrats to the Premier Boys who went undefeated in both of their league games last night. 
Also as big congrats go out to our district girls team.  They played in Calmar last night and the games were exceptionally close!! They represented JE very well and continue to impress everyone that watches them!

There will be a Premier and District Boys’ volleyball practice after school today. 
Reminder that there is a district girls volleyball practice today at lunch and tomorrow after school.

We’re in need of four Gr. 6-8 scorekeepers for tomorrow’s Premier V-ball games.  If interested, please see Mr. Mistol.

Congrats to the premier boys’ volleyball team!  They went undefeated all day on Saturday and won the Halloween Howler.

Girls Circle – a new group for Grade 7 & 8 girls – meet in Room 202 in the library at 12:10.

Attention Jazz Band members: This is a reminder that because Mrs. Baron is away with the Grade 6 band, there will NOT be a noon hour practice tomorrow.
Just a reminder: there is a district girls volleyball practice today after school!

All scorekeepers for Saturday’s Halloween Howler tournament need to see Mr. Mistol today to receive their schedule.

Congratulations to the District Boys Volleyball team. They recorded 2 wins last night at Coloniale School. Boys you have practice today after school.

Also a big congratulations to the district girls VB team…
They played in Thorsby last night and they recorded 3 BIG wins!  The games were super close and our girls played like CHAMPS!
Congratulations again!
Two hardcover books were turned into the office, please claim.

Can all students who have volunteered to scorekeep for the Halloween Howler get their permission slips in to Mr. Mistol ASAP.
Grade 4 & 5 Choir, along with Jazz Band are cancelled for this week only.

Grade 6 band members are reminded to hand in their form for Camp Evergreen activities by tomorrow please.
JE Lapointe will be participating in the Wristband Challenge this year. If you go to the Beaumont or Leduc Rec. Centre, keep your wristband and enter it in the draw box in the office.  Six passes will be drawn for at each assembly.
District Boys Volleyball has league play today at Coloniale School. Boys, meet at the front of the school to walk over to Coloniale. Be ready to leave at 3:20. District girls play in Thorsby. Go Sabres!
Good luck to the premier boys and girls volleyball teams, they play at Christ the King after school today.  Premier girls please meet in Miss Jacejko’s room at 12:10 for a quick meeting.
There is serving practice today at lunch for anyone junior high volleyball players. 
Running club today after school. We will be running the ring road which is a 4 km run.
Grade 8 Citadel field trip permission forms are due back as soon as possible.
School clothing order forms are going out today. All orders are due Friday, November 9th.  Colour posters will go up in the hall today. If you have any sizing issues please see Mlle Hennig in Room 105.

Congratulations to the students who ran in the CAHPER race on Saturday!   Well done everybody!  After school running will continue Tuesdays and Thursdays, weather permitting.  Please listen for further announcements.

Today is Hot Lunch - Boston Pizza  Students from 6D and 6E can pick up their orders at the end of the day.

There is a parent meeting for all junior high band families tonightat 7pm. This meeting is about the Whistler trip, so students are reminded to encourage their parnets to attend.
