Thursday, May 31, 2012 - Day 4

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 - Day 3

• In the past few weeks we have had several cases of Pink Eye reported – this is a reminder to all students to be diligent with your hand washing and be sure to use the hand sanitizers in the classrooms and hallways.

• Juvenile diabetes bake sale today at noon.

• High Jump practice at noon today. 

• Reminder to all term 3 leadership students to check the list outside rm 103 to find out where you are working today.  The students that are going to Bellevue must meet in the front foyer at 10:35.

• Jazz Band practice will be today at 12 noon.

• After a 4 week break, the choir is going to be meeting again this week. There will be a choir practice tomorrow for all members at 12 noon.

• Congratulations to the Junior high track and field athletes who participated in the LDAA track meet yesterday in Leduc.

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 - Day 2

• Grade 7 boys club – Fear Factor will be meeting today at 12:20.

• Reminder to all BHA students that the bus will pick you up at 12:45pm today.  Please meet Mrs. Flontek at the front foyer.

• Congratulations to all our athletes who competed in the Hershey Track Meet last night in Leduc.

• Thanks to everyone who auditioned for the talent show this year. There was a record number of auditions, so not everyone made the final cut. The list of who is performing the afternoon of June 6^th will be posted by 1 pm today outside the music room.

Monday, May 28, 2012 - Day 1

• Elementary High Jump practice today at noon in the gym.
• Students who are participating in the Hershey Meet tonight, please meet in Mme McCallion at the first break/recess for a short meeting.
• All Jr. High track and field team members must hand in their permission slips and fees ASAP.   These forms are mandatory, if they are not handed in, you will not be going to the track meet.
• Congratulation to the Young Guns Hardisty Soccer team for winning a Gold Medal this weekend in a tournament. The girls are undefeated so far this year!
• 28 A pair of eye glasses and a camera have been turned into the office.  Please come in and identify to claim.
• Bake sale Tuesday and Wednesday in support of Juvenile Diabetes.

Friday, May 25, 2012 - Day 5

• Today is the final day for talent show auditions! Anyone who missed auditions because you were sick or absent on your original audition day should come today!

• JH Track today at noon: Girls: Triple jump and discus, Boys: Long Jump, Triple Jump and Discus. It is very important that you come at noon as this will be your last chance to qualify for these events.  Please remember to see your PE teacher if you are unsure if you are eligible.

• A HUGE congratulations to the Junior High Ottawa Band for their excellent performance last week at Musicfest Nationals. They were given a ranking of GOLD by one judge and SILVER by the two other judges. This earned the band an overall ranking of SILVER, which means an exceedingly high level of performance. Congrats again and great job by all!

• Thanks to all that helped with the activities Thursday afternoon.  Great Job!

Thursday, May 17, 2012 - Day 1

• Reminder that Friday is mid term break and Monday is Victoria Day, Have a safe and enjoyable long weekend.

• Today is Activity Day!  Reminder to leadership students that are helping out today, please meet in the gym at 12:40 to get your equipment ready.  Also, gr 6  - 8 teachers please make sure your class knows their group numbers before getting called down to the gym at 1:00.  Don’t forget to do attendance before you come!

Monday, May 14, 2012 - Day 3

• Ms. Colquhoun would like to meet with all students who were part of the Speech Arts programme this year so that we can take a picture for the yearbook. Please meet with Ms. Colquhoun in Room 117 at 12 noon today.

• Any grade 5 and 6 boys who are interested in trying out for High Jump, please meet in the gym at noon.  Bring your lunches.

• Elementary track forms are due today.  Please hand them in to Mme McCallion as soon as possible.  If you forgot your form, please let Mme McCallion know.

• Congratulations to team "Hair is Over Rated"  for winning the gold medal in the Beaumont Cup floor hockey tournament. The boys went undefeated and beat Coloniale in the final.  Would these boys please meet in Mr. Slade’s room at 12:25 for a quick meeting.

• Would Mr. Slade’s GraphicDesign class please meet in the gym in period 4.  The library will be closed due to PATs.

Friday, May 11, 2012 - Day 2

• Reminder to all students that cell phones are NOT to be used in the school building between the hours of 8:15am to 3:15pm.  Students who must have cell phones at school for use outside of times indicated are required to place their phones in their lockers.

• Any grade  8 students who are interested in having their favourite memory of JE filmed for the Grade 8 Farewell, and have not yet done so, please see Mr. Slade in room 109 at 12:00.

• If you are an elementary student who has been coming to Track practices, but has not received the permission form, please see Mme McCallion.  Forms are due no later than Monday.

• Elementary boys’ high jump tryouts will take place Monday at noon.

Thursday, May 10th, 2012 Day 1

• Congratulations to the following classes.  4/5 split Mr. McNamara and 5E Mme Lapointe for winning the pizza party for the completed registration forms. 

• ATTENTION CHOIR MEMBERS: If you did not sign the thank you card for our festival piano and cello players, you need to go to the music room at the 10:30 recess TODAY and sign it before going outside.

  ATTENTION BAND MEMBERS GOING TO OTTAWA: There will be a lunch hour practice today for all members going to Ottawa. Yes, the practice will be today at 12:20. Please write it down. This lunch hour practice is for ALL BAND MEMBERS going to OTTAWA and it will be today at 12:20.
